BioI used to be a huge anime/manga otaku and I'm not proud of it. ._.
A great friend of mine was teaching me about J-rock and some J-Pop when I was in Grade 10 (now in university), where she introduced me briefly to NEWS, and she had introduced a friend of a friend to Yamapi from NEWS, and I didn't know much about them or their music for a while. I first started liking dramas back in 2007, where I first watched Nobuta wo Produce, which introduced me to YamaPi. YamaPi in turn introduced me to Hana Kimi and Ikuta Toma (since they're BFF), which then introduced me to HYD which has him in the first ep of second season. By then I loved NEWS. HYD made me fall in love with ditzy/strong-willed MatsuJun, where it takes me to my current alltime-fav group, ARASHI!! At first I loved MatsuJun like any dutiful fangirl, but my absolute ichiban back then was P-chan.
Time went on and I introduced my now best friend Charlotte to NEWS and J-dramas, and she did some snooping about and found Arashi. At first she showed me some videos that I thought were good, but as I kept on watching, I found more and more that I was beginning to really love Sakurai Sho, designated rapper and 'let's-pick-on-him-all-the-time' target, due to his quirky, sexy, and dorky personality, looks, and his raps get me all excited and hot and bothered all the time. >:3
Continued to watch dramas, followed my favorite actors, like the NEWS and Arashi boys, and actors like Kimura Takuya (I know he's in SMAP but I don't listen to them), Mizushima Hiro(-drool-), and Ikuta Toma. After a while of leaving Charlotte alone to her own fangirling, she introduced me to Super Junior, and at first I was all like 'OMG WHY ARE THERE 12 OF THEM'. I kinda like them and chose Leeteuk as my fav cuz he kinda resembles Toma, and moved on.
When I moved to Victoria for university in Summer '09, I met my friend Emily (friengerforever here on LJ) and she gave me a crash course in K-Pop and her view of the best-of-the-best, and she showed me SuJu, which I had seen via Charlie, and truly fell in love with them. She also showed me DBSK (Yeah, I know, they're so famous, WTH have I been?), 4minute, and of course Girl's Generation. Gotta love SM Entertainment and their humongous groups. XD
Still love Leeteuk and fell in love with cute little Sungmin, and I absolutely adore gamer Kyuhyun, besides the fact that his voice is heavenly, just like Jaejoong/Hero from DBSK/TVXQ, but I agree that Jaejoong's is the voice of God, so Kyuhyun must be an angel. XD
Got my friend Hanan, who's an international student from the Middle East nation of Bahrain, hooked on Nino from Arashi and Donghae from Super Junior. It's awesome. I'm taking her under my fangirl wing and she's learning quickly. <3
